Booking with Voldeluxe
Do I pay when I send a booking request?
No. A request tells us the flight and fare you picked. A travel expert re-checks it with the airline and confirms the final price with you. You pay only if you approve it, and then we issue the tickets.
Can you seat our group together?
We request seats together when we book, wherever the airline allows advance seat selection on your fare. Some fares only get seats at check-in, and airlines can reassign seats later, so seating together can't be guaranteed. Tell us it matters and we'll point out the fares that allow seat selection.
What happens if a flight is delayed?
Tell us as soon as you know. When an airline delays or cancels a flight, it rebooks you under its own rules, and we help you through the options. If we also booked your hotel or transfer, we let them know your new arrival time. At the airport on the day, the airline's own desk can act fastest.
Can we pay in installments?
Airline tickets are paid in full before they are issued, by card or bank transfer. For some group bookings the airline allows a deposit with the balance later; ask us and we'll check your fare.
Do you charge for infants or car seats?
On international flights a lap infant under two usually pays around 10% of the adult fare plus taxes, and a child with their own seat pays a child fare. Most airlines check a stroller and car seat free, but the rules vary, so we confirm them for your airline before you pay.
How does group and multi-household booking work?
One organizer can send us everyone's details, and each traveler gets their own e-ticket. If households want to pay separately, ask us; we can send separate payment links where the booking allows it.
Are displayed fares inclusive of taxes and fees?
Yes. Fares we show include taxes and airline fees, per adult for the trip you searched. The exact amount is re-confirmed with the airline before you pay, and any optional extra you choose, such as a paid support level, is shown separately.
Quotes and fares
Why should I request a quote before booking?
Your selected flight is our starting point. We’ll compare it with other suitable options and check for eligible private offers, helping you find the best available value for your preferences.
Can you offer fares that aren’t shown online?
Sometimes. Certain airline or supplier offers have restrictions on public display and can only be quoted directly to eligible customers. Our team will check whether any apply to your trip and explain their conditions.
Why don’t I need to pay immediately?
We want you to review your options before committing. Submit your details without an upfront payment, and we’ll confirm the available itinerary, total price and fare conditions for your approval.
Will you keep my travel preferences in mind?
Absolutely. We’ll use your preferred dates, cabin, baggage needs and connections to guide our comparison. If a different option could offer better value, we’ll explain the trade-offs and let you decide.
Can the payment method help me get a better fare?
For some offers, it can. Certain fares are linked to specific payment methods or ticketing conditions. We’ll explain the eligible options and any fees before you choose, so you know the full cost.
What happens after I submit my details?
Our team will review your request and contact you with a personalized quote, including any suitable private offers. You choose whether to proceed—we’ll only arrange payment and ticketing after your approval. Prices and seats remain subject to availability until ticketed.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Can I change the dates on my ticket after it is issued?
Usually yes. Most international fares allow a date change for the airline's change fee plus any difference in fare between the old and new dates. The exact fee is printed on your fare conditions before you pay, and we re-confirm it with the airline before changing anything. A few of the cheapest fare brands do not allow changes at all; we tell you that before you book, never after.
Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?
It depends on the fare. Refundable fares return the ticket value minus the airline's cancellation penalty, which we state on your reservation before payment. Non-refundable fares usually return only the government taxes. If the airline cancels your flight or changes it significantly and you decline the alternative, US Department of Transportation rules entitle you to a full refund, and we file it for you.
Who processes my refund, Voldeluxe or the airline?
Voldeluxe. We are ARC-accredited, so tickets we issue are settled directly with the airline and we submit the refund ourselves; you deal with one team, not a chain of resellers. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Airlines typically take 7 to 20 business days to release the money once the refund is processed, and some foreign carriers take longer.
What should I do if my flight is delayed or cancelled on the day?
Call us during business hours and we will work the rebooking with the airline. Outside our hours, the airline's airport desk or mobile app can rebook a same-day disruption fastest, because the airline controls the seats. Keep every receipt for meals and hotels; depending on the airline and the cause of the delay you may be able to claim them back, and we help with the claim.
My name is spelled wrong on the ticket. Can it be fixed?
Minor spelling corrections of up to three characters are usually allowed by the airline, sometimes for a fee, as long as it is the same person. A full name change to a different traveler is not allowed on airline tickets. Check the names on your reservation against your passport before you confirm; that is exactly why we ask you to review the itinerary before any payment.
Paying for your ticket
When do I pay?
Only after you have reviewed the exact itinerary, names, fare and fare conditions and confirmed them online. Nothing is charged when you send a booking request or receive a quote. Once you confirm, we collect payment and issue the e-ticket, normally within the same business day.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards through our secure card page, Zelle, and Indian bank transfer or UPI for family paying from India. The fare total is the same whichever method you choose. Card payments are authorized first and captured when the ticket is issued, so you are never charged for a ticket that was not issued.
Is paying by card on your site secure?
Yes. Card details are entered on a page served by our payment processor and never stored on Voldeluxe systems. Before you pay, you confirm the itinerary, the fare conditions and the amount in writing, and we keep that record with the date, time and device used. It protects you as much as us: what you agreed to is what you are charged.
Are the fares you quote all-inclusive?
Yes. Every fare we quote includes the base fare, government taxes and airline surcharges, per traveler, for the exact trip quoted. Optional extras such as seat selection, extra bags or travel insurance are listed separately and added only if you ask for them. There is no booking fee hidden in the total.
Can my family in India pay for my ticket?
Yes. Choose the Indian payment option when you confirm the reservation and we send the transfer details. The ticket is issued once the payment clears, usually the same business day. Many families use this for parents visiting the USA, students and wedding travel.
Baggage, documents and flying to India
How many bags can I check on a USA to India flight?
It depends on the airline and fare, not the route. Air India, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad include two 23 kg (50 lb) bags on standard economy fares; United and American include one, and the second bag is a paid extra. The baggage line on your fare conditions is the one that counts, and we print it on every quote.
What documents do I need to fly to India?
A passport valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date, and either an Indian visa (including the e-Visa) or an OCI card. US citizens of Indian origin with an OCI card do not need a visa. Check your passport's expiry date before you confirm the reservation; airlines deny boarding for passports that expire too soon, and that is not a refundable reason.
Will my connection be protected if the first flight is late?
If both flights are on one ticket, yes: the airline must rebook you on the next available flight at no charge. If you bought two separate tickets, the second airline has no obligation, so a missed connection means buying a new ticket. We only quote connections on a single ticket unless you ask otherwise, and we flag any self-transfer clearly.
Can you seat my family together?
We request seats together when we book, wherever the airline allows advance seat selection on your fare. Some fares only assign seats at check-in or charge for selection; we tell you which applies before you pay, so there are no surprises at the airport.
Which airlines fly nonstop between the USA and India?
Air India, United and American Airlines operate nonstop flights between the USA and India. Nonstop availability depends on your departure city; most one-stop options route through a Gulf or European hub on Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, Lufthansa, British Airways or Turkish Airlines. Our route guides list the current nonstop status for each US gateway.
About Voldeluxe
Is Voldeluxe a licensed travel agency?
Yes. Voldeluxe Travel LLC is accredited by the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), the body that authorizes US travel agencies to issue airline tickets and settles those tickets with the airlines. Our accreditation number is printed on every e-ticket and can be verified with ARC.
Where is Voldeluxe based?
In Irving, Texas, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with travelers across the United States. The company was founded by Srikanth Borra, who grew up in Hyderabad and lives in Dallas, which is why USA to India travel is our specialty.
How is Voldeluxe different from an online booking site?
A named travel expert reviews every itinerary before you pay: connections, baggage, fare rules and the alternatives you did not see. We compare published fares with consolidator fares that are not shown publicly, quote one all-inclusive price in writing, and remain your single point of contact for changes and refunds after ticketing.
What are your hours and how fast do you reply?
We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm Central and Saturday 9am to 5pm Central. Requests sent during business hours get a reply the same business day; after hours, the next business day. For urgent travel within 24 hours, call rather than email.
Do you book hotels and holidays as well as flights?
Yes. We book hotels and resorts worldwide alongside flights so one itinerary covers the trip, and we plan group holidays, pilgrimages, student travel and corporate travel. Tell us the trip; we price flights and stays together.
